THE KALV FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 20 YEARS!
In 2024, the Kalv Festival will take place for the 20th time. We rejoice and marvel at this achievement and invite you all to celebrate it with us this summer, 8–11 August!
This year we are calling the festival The Wandering Sounds of Kalv. As a tribute to the many sound walks, to the many concert venues (in the small village) and to emphasise that what we do is to let the music walk on, forward, away, but always looking towards unknown sounds that still carry the wings of history!
The 20th anniversary also coincides with the centenary of the Italian composer Luigi Nono. And if any composer can be said to be defined by wandering as a keyword for his music, it is Luigi Nono.
We will welcome national and international musicians and composers. There will be premieres, concerts both indoors and outdoors, sound art, dialogue – Kalvdans (the now established signature dessert of Kalv)! We will of course look back at the history of the Kalv Festival with guests, features and conversations.
