The Kalv festival 2020 – applications for the composition academy opens soon!

The Kalv festival continue next year (6th-9th of August 2020) with its international profile with a wide array of foreign ensembles and guests. We can barely contain ourselves for revealing the different acts, but for this press-release we announce the names of our faculty for the international composition academy: Italian Clara Iannotta and Russian Dmitri Kourliandski!

These two composers will during the week of 3rd to 9th of August tutor and guide 6-8 students. Through lessons, seminars and workshops the next generation of composers will be immersed in a world of new sounds. A world, which at least the second week of August, begins in Kalv.

The Kalv festival is immensely proud to be able for a third consecutive year being able to invite two of the most exciting composers of the contemporary music world. Not only to witness them in action as teachers, but also to be able to present their music in Kalv!
