Kalv – a place for music and Ensemble Temporum!
The Kalv festival 2021 makes itself prepared to welcome audiences from near and far even if we are still struggling with the uncertainty of an ongoing pandemic.
What we do know is that this year’s festival takes place 12-15th of August! It is preceded by an international composition academy that gathers participants from all over the world, but due to the current pandemic it will be realized through a combination of digital and physical solutions.
Already last year we unveiled some of our program: Hidden Mother, Rage Thormbones and ensemble mosaic. We now have the pleasure to announce our Norwegian strand, the chamber ensemble, Ensemble Temporum. An ensemble whose name is taken from Gérard Grisey’s iconic piece, vortex temporum, which they will also perform during the festival. In addition, they will perform music by academy students, Lene Grenager, Jonas Skaarud and Martin Rane Bauck!
Since we live in a time of new, extended and altered restrictions, we ask you to follow us closely on our website and through social media. As the summer closes in we will update with more and more information on how to take part of this year’s festival!
